- Scholarship awards valued at over $13,000 annually for local high school girls and women. Please go to our Scholarship page for further information.
- Journey to Success workshops which are designed for women and high school students searching for employment or currently working in our community who are ready to enhance their career skills. The workshops are funded by a grant from the Community Foundation of the Florida Keys.
Workshops include hands on training and practical tips for improving skills in resume writing, job application completion and interviewing, office communication and on the job etiquette. Zontians supporting the Heart Health Initiative by wearing Red
- Heart Health Initiative – The Zonta Club of Key West launched its Heart Health Initiative in 2012
in partnership with Womankind. Since its inception, Zonta has donated $16,870 so 337 women in our community could access life-saving comprehensive blood screenings. Heart disease doesn’t care who you are, where you live or what you wear– it’s the #1 killer of women.

Zonta Key West provides FREE comprehensive blood screenings in March and April each year to up to 80 women in our community regardless of income or insurance status. The screenings include: (1) blood pressure check; (2) blood screenings (complete blood count, thyroid, metabolic panel and total lipid panel); and (3) BMI (body mass index, an indicator of risk and a follow-up consultation on the results). - Mammogram Program – The Zonta Club of Key West provides FREE mammograms all year long to under-insured and uninsured women in Key West and the Lower Keys.
